Research institutions using Immersive Display systems require precision, wide-area motion tracking to aid in the study of everything from medicine and biomechanics to how humans interact with virtual worlds.
At Brown University’s Cognitive and Linguistic Sciences Department, researchers are using InterSense’s wide area IS-900 tracking system in combination with a fully immersive head mounted display to investigate how visual cues affect the way we navigate through the world. Our technology allows them to control visual stimuli over a large space, and present subjects with different visual cues as they naturally walk through an open environment.
