T.C Browne is an accomplished operating executive with over 30 years of leadership experience in technology-intensive environments.
As CEO of InterSense, he is leveraging the company's leadership in human-in-the-loop inertial tracking systems for flight, tactical and research simulation into operational applications such as flight and vehicle guidance, industrial error-proofing and GPS-denied navigation.
Prior to InterSense, Mr. Browne was CEO of Nexaweb Technologies, a JAVA/RIA software company and before that, CEO of Gold Wire Technology Inc., where he led the company’s focus on enterprise infrastructure software for security and SARBOX compliance while strengthening its product development and strategic partnerships. Earlier he served as CEO of NextNine, Inc., a provider of secure infrastructure management software and before that, NaviPath, Inc., a CMGI subsidiary that he transformed from a start-up into a high-growth, high-performance Internet access and VISP provider operating one of the most extensive data networks in North America.
Mr. Browne has previously held executive positions as Senior Vice President and General Manager with BBN Corporation / GTE Internetworking (now part of Verizon), as Vice President, Corporate & Government Marketing with Sony Electronics Inc., providing a diverse range of electronic products to Fortune 100 and Federal government customers and is a decorated former Naval Aviator and U. S. Navy Lieutenant Commander. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from The College of William and Mary and a Master’s degree in Management Science & Operations Research from The George Washington University.

Eric Foxlin

Mr. Foxlin founded InterSense in 1996, based on patented inertial tracking technology which he developed while pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He holds an MS degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (1993) from MIT and a BS degree in Physics (1987) from Harvard University.
Mr. Foxlin has 15 years of experience in the tracking, navigation, and virtual environments fields, designing inertial and hybrid sensor systems. His Masters work involved the design of the first human inertial tracking system resulting in a thesis entitled “Inertial Head-Tracking.” From 1991 until 1996, Mr. Foxlin led the Head-Tracker Development Project in the Sensory Communications Group of the Research Laboratory of Electronics at MIT. MIT has been awarded numerous patent claims covering Mr. Foxlin’s work, for which InterSense holds an exclusive license. Mr. Foxlin serves as a reviewer for the journals PRESENCE, ACM Transactions on Graphics, IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, as well as for various conferences in the field. He is a member of the IEEE, the IEEE Gyro-Accelerometer Panel, and the Institute of Navigation.

Joseph A. DiGiantommaso

Joseph A. DiGiantommaso, Chief Financial Officer, joined InterSense in October 2006 with extensive prior operating and financial experience in managing technology companies. Over the past 25 years he has held senior-level finance positions at various global public and private companies, overseeing financial operations and leading strategic initiatives such as building infrastructure, raising private capital, negotiating acquisitions and divestitures and ensuring regulatory compliance. Most recently, Mr. DiGiantommaso was Vice President of Finance at I4 Commerce, Inc., where he oversaw venture capital fund-raising and audit activities while acting as Interim CFO and Controller. He previously served as Regional Chief Financial Officer at ModusLink Corporation, a CMGI Company and has also served as CFO of several software and technology companies, including Infiniswitch Corporation, Quarry Technologies, Nextpoint Networks, Customer Analytics and Proteon.
Mr. DiGiantommaso holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) from St. Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.

Michael Donfrancesco

Michael Donfrancesco, Vice President of Sales, draws on more than 10 years experience in the motion tracking industry when managing the sales organization at InterSense. Mike joined InterSense in 1999 and has consistently grown sales by introducing the technology into the Military, Industrial, Commercial, Entertainment and R&D markets. Prior to InterSense, Mike was the General Sales Manager at Qualisys, a Swedish company that specializes in motion capture in the Industrial, Entertainment and Medical markets. Mike graduated from Boston University with a BS in Engineering.

Jim Furneaux

Mr. Furneaux is the president of Furneaux & Company, LLC an investment company focused on investing in very early stage high technology ventures. Mr. Furneaux has spent over thirty years involved in the high technology industry as an entrepreneur, venture capitalist and investment banker. In 1999 he was the co-founder and general partner of Kodiak Venture Partners from which he retired in 2004. From 1995 to 1999 in his role at Furneaux & Company he was an active Chairman of the pioneering wireless LAN company, Aironet Wireless Communications which was acquired by Cisco in 2000. Previously he was the co-founder and CEO of Chrysalis Symbolic Design, a company that pioneered formal verification in semiconductor design and was acquired by Synopsys. From 1985 to 1990 he was a general partner of Bessemer Venture Partners and was responsible for that group's investments in Bright Horizons Children's Centers and Maxim Integrated Products among others. From 1976 to 1985 he was a partner of Rothschild Unterberg Towbin representing such firms as Intel, Scientific Atlanta, General Electric and others and was responsible for venture investments in Compaq, Apple, VMX and others.
Mr. Furneaux graduated with a BA from Northeastern University in 1966 and an MBA from the Tuck School, Dartmouth College in 1974. He spent five years in satellite reconnaissance technology as an officer in the US Air Force.
Mr. Furneaux is a past president and serves on the Board of Lazarus House Ministries, is on the Board of the Tuck School Private Equity Center, and is a member of the corporation of Northeastern University.

Thomas Claflin

Mr. Claflin has been active in the Boston venture capital community since 1967 when he joined the venture capital group at TA Associates, which was then affiliated with Tucker, Anthony and R.L. Day. In 1973 he joined Paine Webber, where he became a vice president and a partner in its venture capital fund, Ampersand Associates.
In 1978 Mr. Claflin formed Claflin Capital Management and its first venture fund, Claflin Capital. Since that time, seven additional partnerships have been formed to invest primarily in New England technology based early stage companies. He has been instrumental in building several New England technology companies such as Zoll Medical, Point Therapeutics, Lifeline Systems, Altron, Hologic and Vivid Technologies. He continues to serve on the boards of several public and private companies. In addition, his firm sponsored the first private equity fund in Ukraine as well as a private investment partnership that invests in Chinese publicly traded securities.
Mr. Claflin graduated cum laude from Harvard College in 1963 and received an MBA from the Harvard Business School in 1967. From 1963 to 1965 he served as an officer aboard a destroyer with the US Navy's Pacific Fleet.

Neil Ferris

Neil Ferris possesses over 30 years of high-technology leadership and experience in the formation of high technology start up companies. Over the span of his career, Ferris has held the top post at multiple companies and has overseen a number of successful mergers including Novell's acquisition of Fluent, where he was a founder and the chief executive officer. Ferris also helped engineer the successful merger of Netscheme Solutions with Actuate Software during his tenure as chief executive officer at Netscheme. In 1998, he became president and chief executive officer of Giganet, a leading provider of network solutions, which was acquired by Emulex Corporation for an estimated $650 million. Earlier in his career he held senior management positions in the formation and growth stages of Data General and was member of the founding team of Apollo Computer.
Ferris holds a BS in Business and an MBA, both from Northeastern University. Ferris also serves as the Chairman of the Board for the University of Massachusetts Marlboro Hospital, is a board member of Archivas, the leading provider of Application Optimized Storage solutions, and Millennial Net, a wireless mesh networking company. Neil is also an active consultant to a number of Venture capital firms and newly formed technology-based companies.

Martin Green

Martin Green is the representative of The Vitec Group plc, a $300m turnover group listed on the London Stock Exchange that manufactures broadcast and photographic equipment. Martin is Head of Business Development of Vitec responsible for acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and strategy.
Martin has a MA from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management. He began his career as a corporate lawyer in the City before a period as an investment banker. Subsequent to his MBA, he has undertaken a number of corporate development roles for several international businesses
