NavShoe™
The NavShoe™ is a personal inertial navigation system that will provide the precise location of an individual in GPS denied areas. Using the InterSense NavChip™ IMU, the NavShoe utilizes advanced algorithms to track an individual's position in buildings, urban canyons, subterranean environments, and other industrial settings.
Intended for real-time tracking of soldiers, first responders, and workers in hazardous environments, the NavShoe fuses advanced zero-velocity update algorithms (ZUPT) with external positioning systems to provide accurate three dimensional position and location coordinates.
Compared to traditional dead reckoning modules that count calibrated steps, the NavShoe offers greatly improved accuracy by measuring actual stride length and direction of the user.
The NavShoe is currently in development with technology demonstrations available.
