Technical Support Engineer, Massachusetts
Position Description
InterSense seeks a Technical Support Engineer to work with customers in troubleshooting technical issues and interface with Engineering and Sales on behalf of the customer.
Requirements for the position include:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience
- Experience with C/C++/Java or syntactically similar languages; ability to understand and compile code
- Basic understanding of electronics/electrical principles
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Able to effectively interact with engineering and technical customers to resolve complex issues
- High level of familiarity/comfort with Windows and Linux operating systems
- 1-3 years experience providing technical support for multiple hardware or software products
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with CRM software (Siebel, SAP, Salesforce, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks at once
This position reports to the VP of Engineering, and may require occasional travel in support of key customers. InterSense will reward the successful candidate with a competitive salary, equity and benefits program.

Senior R&D Systems Engineer, Massachusetts
Position Description
Research and develop navigation, stabilization and mapping systems based on small MEMS inertial sensors and novel sensor fusion algorithms. Research focuses on emerging applications for strapdown inertial technology including personal/indoor navigation, robotics, micro-UAV navigation, camera/antenna stabilization, surveying & mapping, human-machine interaction, etc.
Requirements for the position include:
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering/ Computer Science or related field with exposure to estimation and control theory. PhD preferred.
- Extensive experience with Kalman filtering and related estimation algorithms.
- At least 5 years experience with Matlab and Simulink.
- Strong analytic and mathematical modeling capability.
- Experience implementing advanced filtering, control or estimation algorithms on DSPs or embedded controllers.
- Experience with inertial sensors, IMUs, AHRS or GPS/INS integration.
- Strong C or C++ programming skills.
Pluses:
- Model-based design and auto-coding with Real-Time Workshop (RTW).
- Fixed-point algorithm design and validation.
- Analog and/or digital hardware design experience.
- GPS/INS integration.
- Magnetometers, AHRS algorithm development.
- Familiarity with vision aided navigation, SLAM, or image processing algorithms.
This position reports to the CTO.
