From the article:
"Going Hollywood. -- As part of an effort to infuse more storytelling into the campaign, SOCOM 4 has several in-game cinematics that were created by utilizing the innovative "InterSense" camera technology. After a scene is motion-captured by actors and superimposed onto a virtual background, a cinematographer is able to come in to virtually film the scene just as he would for a Hollywood film. Instead of being on a film set, he is in an open room that represents the virtual space of the game world. Every camera motion is recorded and translated into the game. The end result is a scene that features the camera techniques found in today's blockbuster movies."
